So, you want a hidden proxy-president doing what he wishes, regardless of what the constitution permits, enacting Amnesty, single payer healthcare, and gun control?

I don't think Trump is as bad as you are stating...

Of course we could get Hillary or Bernie...which would make Trump look like Calvin Coolidge...

Trump shares nothing with Reagan.

(and just about everything with the Clintons)

If the choice is between:

1) the party regulars who asked for, and received, on a silver platter, a majority in both Houses to stop Obama - and then failed to do anything of substance to stop him and his minions; or

2) a guy who’s never run for office, but who has substantial business experience (most of it highly successful, and he’s learned from his failures as any intelligent person should), who is somewhat all over the map on some policies BUT who is an unabashed nationalist who knows how to negotiate...

...then I’m taken Door #2. Door #1 has been a consistent loser, and shows no signs of changing (witness the pre-emptive cave-in on Obama’s upcoming nomination for Scalia’s seat).

The GOPe has failed, consistently, and they’ve lied out of every orifice to their voters (not their donors, mind you, just us ordinary voters)...and they need to reap the reward for their actions and inactions. Screw them, its time to take out the trash!

Or we could get the real candidate, Cruz.

No need to train him, he’s ready to roll, and knows where every skeleton is hidden.

You don’t fool me, you want the Gimmie world. Solid bread and circus.

I was a liberal Democrat in 1960. Worked for for a liberal senator who was a, however, a strong anti-communist and social conservative. I also voted for Nixon twice, and voted for Carter because I thought he was more moderate than Ford, certainly on abortion. I would have voted for Reagan, especially after I heard his off-the-cuff convention speech. Incidentally, Califano, Carter’s HEW appointee, was strongly pro-life. Nixon was two faced on the issue and Ford and his wife were strongly pro-choice. Gave up on Carter by the end of his first year, a decision reinforced by his betrayal of the Shah. Then came the hostage crisis,.. Now let me see. 1980 to 2015. Thirty five years. I was forty when I last voted for a Democratic candidate.

You must be doing this as piecework. You’d starve if the benchmark was quality.

When the dictionary needs an illustration of “Posturing” it cross references to Cruz and you.

Maybe we should forgive Joan for her profound foolishness. After all, she is a dingbat New Yorker.

See http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3398258/posts

See my posts #71, 73,75, 77, and 79--especially 77 and 79.

RSN, this stuff is serious. And you are in it way over your head.

Thanks, this is about the only thing on e-s’s level that is reasonable.

e-s please opus. We want to see what your opus looks like. We want to see what and who you will condemn in the name of God. Don’t let prudence stay your hand, no.

Well “consistent conservative” was already used. And abused.

“Exactly. Nothing on expanding Medicare, eminent domain, Affirmative Action, progressive taxes.

She’s a populist.”

The government has 2 main responsibilities:

1) National security; and

2) Ensuring that the people of this country are not hindered by government in being creative and in reaping rewards for genius, hard work, thriftiness, etc.

Trump, for all of his many faults, will ensure that these 2 goals are met. All else is secondary.

Oh, and one thing is more important in this election than anything else: defeating the Leftists (A.K.A. the Dems). If they win the Presidency again, the nation is doomed. ANY of the Republicans still in the race would be better than ANY Dem - and not by a little.

Focus on the forest, not on individual trees.

You answer yourself so well!

Please opus. Or maybe a vacuum cannot create an opus. It is insufficiently clever. Its life has to be its opus.

This is what happens with idiots who don’t even know their friends.

In the meantime, Trump threw out something YUGE yesterday. The most direct promise to address Roe v. Wade we have EVER EVER seen from a politician, EVER.

TRUMP!

Not Cruz. Not any of our evangelical or Catholic caucuses.

Call him a fool if you like, but he is a “fool” with titanium huevos.

Well young man, Reagan spent his life conquering men of Trump’s vaporous character and qualifications.

Were Trump’s hands a bit cleaner, Reagan might have made Trump “Permanent Latrine Orderly,” P.L.O.

I'm as conservative as it gets, but Conservatives have failed me and our country.

Wait until she finds out what the nonconservative Trump (Romney with balls) does to her and our country.
