I agree Cruz is far better than Trump at articulating conservative principles. I agree Cruz would stay true to his principles as President. I agree he is honest, hard working and relentless in pursuit of conservatism.
I don’t agree that he can put together a coalition aka Reagan, either among the electorate or in congress were he to become President. I think he’s demonstrating he can’t do it. Yes, he’s trying and that is admirable. If Cruz had that ability, I don’t think Trump would be an obstacle.
I think Trump is our best opportunity - not to vindicate conservatism as RR did - but rather to fight leftism. I understand he doesn’t articulate conservative principles the way Cruz does. Yet I think he will fight leftism and we will have our conservative victory, but perhaps be robbed of the vindication and satisfaction we would feel if the victory was achieved in the name of conservatism. But I think it will be a real victory for conservativism nonetheless.
“Ted Cruz has Loser & Cheat & Lie Teller stamped on his forehead!!! “
I have a game called “Lie, Cheat, and Steal - a game of Texas politics”
“Trump supporters descend into the same deceitful, ad hominem and patronizing methods used by Trump his whole adult life.”
You must be ignoring the Cruz supporters that insult Trump supporters repeatedly. I’ve had several comments aimed at me removed by moderators, they were so bad.
You must also be ignoring the lying and intimidation by the Cruz campaign.
Actions speak louder, and Cruz’s actions and those of his supporters show who he really is.
That is why I will stand with Senator Ted Cruz and not hold my nose for the liberal Donald Trump
Like you, I've watched Cruz since he went to Washington in 2012...and he's backed up everything he promised us in Texas.
Funny that so many people here can't understand that when a man fulfills his campaign promises through the years......it means he's EARNED your vote....and you aren't choosing him because of empty rhetoric. LOL
D@mn...I‘m a Trump supporter and I had no idea!
Enough with the sweeping generalizations. I have no idea whether Ted Cruz is electable...and frankly, neither do you. The election will settle that. But isn't it obvious that if he can't win the nomination, he's probably not?
The question is to me irrelevant. My question is...can he accomplish anything while in office? There's no doubt he's a brilliant lawyer and if I had a case to argue he would be my #1 choice. But as has been said...he's a champion debater, but he doesn't seem to be very impressive one on one. If he can't persuade Senators as a sitting Senator...how successfully can he sell a different path to the Senate, the House, and the public?
Exactly so. Well said.
Any problem if I pass your post along?
Love it ... you have articulated what many feel.
All true.
Thank you.
Please do.
Since I originally posted it I have received many requests to post it as often as possible, problem is, I also get complaints about posting so often.
I just want to get the word out in the hopes of opening some eyes.
So will I if he survives the inevitable eligibility lawsuit should he get the nomination. I have my doubts. I can see Rubio or Cruz getting the nomination, declared ineligible and ending up with Bush at the national convention.
