Did he marry her before he went to college, when he went to Mexico after finishing prep school?
Something has always bothered me about that,since it seems so our of character for an old-school Wasp New England aristocratic family. To me it suggests some emotional instability resulting in mindless rebellion against the WASP country club system.
I would love to know more details about his years between 18 and 28.
You do know it’s entirely possible he married her because he LOVED her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, unlike the Donald who marries foreign born women and cheats on them.
