The majority of Syrian people support Moscow's anti-terror campaign, the top Catholic bishop in Syria said in an interview with RT, adding that it's not only military assistance, but the promotion of peace process by Russia that they pin their hopes on.

The Russians are giving Christians, women, non Sunni peoples, and decent secularists real hope and change. Obama gave nothing.
It is good and proper to distrust Russia, however on the plus side, they have been the protector of Christianity in Syria and have been doing so for a while - both the government and Russian Orthodox Church. It is a shame the US churches have turned their back - all of them - on the widespread killing of Christians and destruction of their places of worship. Only in Egypt is there any semblance of support for Christianity by the government.
Yes, the Russian interest in supporting the Christians in the Middle East goes right back to the 17th century - possibly earlier. And indeed, they are a noble community to support.
Why should we distrust Russia? The US has been goading Russia and trying to install anti-Russian leaders in countries surrounding Russia. It’s nuts. Russia is a natural ally against Islam, which is probably why Obama keeps pimping with Putin. Let Europe solve its own problems for once. Besides, the horde of barbarians they are welcoming into their midst is a bigger threat than Russia.
Funny thing,
Putin the Christian.
