Bret Stephens has been the ugliest, bare-faced liar about Trump. I used to like him too. Money buys a lot of people these days....even one’s soul.
I think it’s ego.
Trump wouldn’t take a leak on Stephens’s leg, out of concern for his precious fluids, and prep school/London School/U of Chicago Stephens cannot live with that.
