I know a couple of "conservative" gays that say the same thing. "Other than being gay", they are conservative. They even believe that gay marriage was a meaningless battle that was meant more to hurt religious conservatives than it was meant to help gays.

I've heard it said by gays who lean more conservative, that it's easier to come out as a gay person than it is to come out as a conservative.I wonder if that opens their traditionally liberal eyes to how truly un-diverse their fellow libs are.
