Good decision not to create a new tool to unlock this phone, which could be used on others of that generation.
For the iPhone 6 and on, Apple has no ability to do anything.
The government already has access to all metadata, all phone numbers called and received and so much more.
This phone is not an Iphone 6. It is an IPhone 5, and they can unlock it. They just refuse to do so.
And I'm not ready to believe that they can't crack an IPhone 6 if they really wanted to.

First, let me say, I am in favor, of seeing 30 foot tall stacks of dead terrorists. Most of us would be surprised at what the government knows about us. No, most of us would be SHOCKED at what the government knows about us.
I operate under the assumption, that every government official, is lying to us, until I can prove one way or the other. If they say, I am from the government, and I am here to help you, they are lying. If they say they don't care about my personal information, they are lying. If they say they only want this ONE IPhone cracked, they are lying. If they say they do not spy on citizens, they are lying. If they say the IRS has not been weaponized, they are lying, and they wonder why I don't believe anything they say?
The government has s very poor track record. They are not here to help us, they are here to lie to us. Just water board their family members, they will probably get more information out of them.
