ABOARD THE PAPAL AIRLINER -- Inserting himself into the Republican presidential race, Pope Francis on Wednesday suggested that Donald J. Trump "is not Christian" because of the harshness of his campaign promises to deport more immigrants and force Mexico to pay for a wall along the border.
"A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian," Francis said when a reporter asked him about Mr. Trump on the papal airliner as he returned to Rome after his six-day visit to Mexico.

Well, since only Christ knows who is or who is not a Christian, but the Pope is taking such liberties, I can say without guilt that I don’t believe that the Pope is a Christian (is he? Only God really knows). If he can do it, so can I.

Trump is a fool for engaging and debating the Pope. This all started with his simplistic solution, however. The solution is E-verify, no jobs, no welfare, no education, no healthcare and no sanctuary cities, no a wall, just like my guy will do. Reality TV politics gets you what you deserve, Donald. Lewiston, Maine was flooded years ago by Somalis funded by Catholic charities and Lutheran charities, who in turn receive boatloads of taxpayer money from the Imperial federal government.

Similarly, is not heaven a walled encampment, with St. Peter, the first Pope, guarding the entry gate to ensure that only “legal” citizens of heaven may enter?

Minneapolis, and several other places in MN have been flooded with Somalis as well, thanks mostly to the Catholics and Lutherans. Many of the Mpls bunch have gone on to join ISIS and other terrorist groups.
We also have thousands of Hmongs in MN thanks to them as well.
The biblical illustrations certainly add complexity to the picture.
Trump has talked so much about the “big beautiful door” that some folks are concerned this will amount to touchback, though we really haven’t any details and it could just as easily be queueback.
I know the pope doesn’t own the golden seat that he uses for ecclesiastical business, but yet for him to propose to the Vatican that it be sold, a more economical unit built, and the net proceeds given to the poor for the Catholic version of a Christian witness, would add a lot of credibility to his proposal.
