Even if Trump got Democrats to vote for them, how is that going to help save 25 Republican Senate seats? If they’re Democrats, they might vote for Trump and for Democrat Senators. Then Trump will really get to cut some deals with Schumer, Reid, Pelosi...
Let’s see, which candidate are the Democrats going to have an easier time portraying as a wealthy, big-business elitist who’s been screwing over the little guy for years and is racist and sexist to boot. After being defeated by the Romney playbook, why do we want to give them an even easier target to rerun it on?
