A super PAC supporting Ted Cruz has its eyes trained on Marco Rubio.
According to James Hohmann's The Daily 202, Keep the Promise I, a Cruz super PAC, is launching four new advertisements, including one that hits Rubio on immigration. The 30-second spot features Senate Democratic leaders talking about Rubio's involvement in a biapartisan immigration bill proposed several years ago.
The words "Marco Rubio has some strange friends when it comes to immigration" flash on the screen, before clips of Sens. Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer begin airing.
Hohmann reports the super PAC is also sending a mailer to more than 250,000 likely voters that links Rubio to Schumer, Reid and Hillary Clinton. The organization, according to the report, is also releasing a digital advertisement that hits the Florida Republican for supporting sugar subsidies.
But the super PAC isn't the only one going after Rubio. According to The Daily 202, Cruz is also airing two commercials that targets Rubio on immigration. In on advertisement, Rubio is accused of using similar talk points as President Barack Obama when making his pitch for the 2013 Gang of Eight bill.
âMarco Rubio burned us once. He shouldnât get the chance to sell us out again,â a woman says at the end of the advertisement.
Cruz and Rubio are battling for second in South Carolina. The Palmetto State's Republican primary is Saturday.

Whoever prevails gets a free ticket for the Trump inauguration.
I honestly think after the others drop out, it will go to Rubio. The Cruz and Trump will fight for 1/2 and Rubio wins. I sure hope not.
I too hope it doesn’t go Rubio, but it’s looking like that’s who the GOP/big money donors are now getting behind. I’ll vote for whoever wins the nomination because 4 years of Bernie or Hillary might be enough to do this country in. I would happily vote for Cruz or Trump, would vote for Kasich, and would vote holding my nose for Rubio or Bush. Carson seems pretty much out of it at this point - I think he would have made a good peace-time president, but I guess I’d prefer him to Bush or Rubio.
They’re running out of time to stop Trump who is poised to win in both South Carolina and Nevada.
We still have a LONG way to go. Trump is 1-1, and his win in New Hampshire was solid, but Trump supporters better not want the field to get down to just two guys too quickly.
Robert Mercers’ investment.
Good.
