Plain old fashioned police work with a boost from modern science solved this crime. A delivered pizza box and leftovers was discovered on scene. A detective tagged it for analysis and the killer’s DNA popped up on a pizza crust. In turn, his DNA was on file from a previous crime. It was all downhill from there for the Schmuck. Gots to love it when things click.

Demolition to begin at the Savopoulos home after being sold
WASHINGTON (ABC7) — The D.C. mansion that was the scene of four chilling murders almost a year ago could soon be a pile of rubble if a ‘raze permit’ is approved.
The new owner of the home near Embassy Row is seeking approval to begin demolition after purchasing the mansion.
The home where Savvas Savopoulos, his wife Amy, their 10-year-old son Philip, and housekeeper Vera Figueroa were killed in May, hit the market last year. Despite heavy damage from an intentionally set fire at the time of the murders, the home listed for more than $3 million.
