That was completely refreshing listening to Cruz.......reminded me when I first heard him and thought to myself if he ever ran for office I would be one happy camper.....and here we are.

And you are absolutely right.....Cruz is a candidate that comes along once in a generation.....but also they are never given unless the people ‘are ready’ for the answers they will bring.

Cruz would have appointed the man he fought for, Mike Luttig. Blame Bush for not taking Cruz’s advice.

Great job CNN, so glad I watched. Cruz nailed it, Kudos to Cruz!

Yes, Cruz did nail it tonight. And CNN didn't stand in his way.

Did he blame him for losing Iraq? Did he blame him for all the terror attacks that happened on his watch? Get back to me when he is as hard on Obama or Hillary or Bernie as he was on GW or other Conservatives...

Yes he did. Yes he did. Yes he is.

And don't summon me.

Educate yourself by listening to what he actually says.

There are links to all his rallies right here on FR; it's not like what he says is only available in Spanish at offshore resorts.

You call Paul Ryan saying LLC's are a vehicle for laundering money as proof of Cruz's (non-existent) corruption? Paul Ryan who gave Zero his budget? All the candidates have super pacs and are not allowed to coordinate with them.

Should’ve been yanked off the stage

I am voting for him in early voting this week in Texas and it will be my proudest vote of my life to date.

The final key to the way I promote is bravado. I play to people’s fantasies. People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That’s why a little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular.

I call it truthful hyperbole. It’s an innocent form of exaggeration - and a very effective form of promotion. ~ Trump: [”Art of the Deal”]

I do my own thinking. You have your talking points, too. I still find what Pryor did objectionable.

I am put off by Trump's intense anger and accusation of "liar" when his own words are used against him. He is inarticulate and doesn't complete his sentences which drives me crazy. It will be "great" and "awesome" but he has no substantive policies.

Sometimes Trump does speak less like a politician and more like most of us! I think the times he's used "liar" have been accurate--if not politically correct.

You sound like you don't like his style. And, that's okay. But, Trump's more than that--with very detailed policy papers on his website.

I know it's an extra step and we're all busy, but it just might be worth your time to take a look at them. It was for me. :-)

I agree that Cruz is stellar. I do not think I could bring myself to vote for Trump if he actually gets the nomination- (but I pray he won’t.) This Constitutional Conservative will sit out the election.

Such a shame the media once had Walter Cronkite and George Wallace. Now all we have are a bunch of connected rich kids who majored in BS but knew the right people (and are pretty uniformly liberal) telling “news.” 30 years ago, the media would’ve pointed out George Zimmerman for the hero he is instead of lionizing thug Trayvon.

The media was terrible 30 years ago, and Cronkite was no walk in the park. At least there is more competition today.

Cruz is a candidate that comes along once in a generation, and some conservatives are going to be heart broken voting for Donald Trump.

Cruz has time. Let him grow up a little, maybe finish his first term in the Senate and we'll see.

But, IMO, we need Donald Trump--now.

You are very correct it is a very exciting election, you are also very correct about it being crazy around here!!! Don’t get put off just go with the flow and do not be intimidated if someone doesn’t like what you say, just tell them to have a nice day and move on!!! NEVER take it personally!!! You always have a right to your opinion regardless of anyone disagreeing with you!!! THANK YOU again for your response we had 3 people wondering what the heck Trumps answer was!!! You jumped in and told us!!!
