Ted Cruz held an unscheduled press conference today, the main purpose of which seems to have been to highlight the fact that the Trump campaign has threatened to sue him over ads his campaign is running in South Carolina, highlighting his pro-choice record. Cruz opened the press conference by reading portions of the letter, and declaring that if Trump filed the lawsuit, he would respond with a motion for sanctions. Take a look:
Oooo. Pass me a hand fan! And pearls to clutch! I think I’m smitten.
I do not attack FReepers or call them names.
Bump!
Bump!
Bump!
Thanks!
Not clicking a link that you do not know why?
Why are you here?
Crus is committing political suicide of his own volition.
Guess this makes Cruz supporters feel better temporarily. But his ads will now be questioned by everyone.
?
“?”
That does explain a few things.
Cruz ads will be watched by everyone.
Isn’t that what Trump’s fan tell everyone?
Cute.
Watched and disbelieved. That is the key.
The truth, from the Federal Elections Board.
Since 1989, or for the last 26 years, businesman Trump has gave the following amounts to politicians.
“Data from the Federal Election Commission and state elections offices provided by the two websites show that Trump has given $584,850 to Democrats and $961,140 to the GOP over the last 26 years.”
I wonder if lying Ted showed these numbers and the names of the republicans that Trump has donated to.
Cruz is a desparate man. He needs to run off Glenn Beck or his campaign is finished.
Cruz supporters are attacking Trump, Trump supporters are attacking Cruz supporters. Big difference between the two camps because when you get to specifics Trump is indefensible.
There is a strange cognitive dissonance with Trumps supporters, I suspect vaccine damage. The logic circuits are blown, only emotional reasoning still functions. Frontal lobe issues from metal poisoning.
Of course there are exceptions to the rule, but the pattern is there for all to see.
Also as to the Iowa mailers, from a previous segment (since Trump keeps bringing it up)....Cruz didn’t do anything wrong.
And this is why Ted’s campaign has become so sad. The supposed “Voice of Truth” in this campaign, who was to be the “anti-Establishment lion”, has instead created an army of Cracker Jack lawyers who go around excusing his lousy behavior as “technically OK”.
No one has ever suggested Cruz’s shame mailers were illegal, except for Cruz supporters themselves when arguing against men of straw. What everyone has said, is that something doesn’t have to be illegal to be wrong. Shaming people with intimidating notes threatening to involve their neighbors is wrong. I don’t care how legal it is.
Cruz didn’t apologize, he didn’t fire or reprimand his campaign manager, he doubled down on those slimy tactics, and so did his ardent supporters. And from there it just kept going downhill.
And now here he is, with a floundering campaign, holding desperate press conferences crying about Donald Trump.
It’s pathetic and unfortunate.
