The problem that no one seems to be talking about is that there is a limit as to the number of diehard/stupid Dems that would ever be convinced to vote for any Republican. Perhaps Trump's attacks against the Dem's nominee would even make them more enthusiastic for their candidate. (Remember: most Dems are political crazies.)
Worse still, as I pointed out in my earlier post, Trump is turning off a significant source of Republican voting strength. Evangelicals have long been a vital voting bloc for Republicans. And although I am persuaded that the genuine Christians in that loosely defined group is far less than the total of professing "evangelicals," the genuine Christians have always been important in national elections.
I personally believe that the vast majority of the credible Christians in America find Trump to be disgusting. ALL of my close Christian friends from my church feel this way.
