they're 25 years apart in age....there was no one to fight at the time TC would have joined or could have joined

The military isn't for everyone and certainly is not a prerequisite for being President. But, there WAS this thing called Desert Storm, that was pretty important and inspired me and many friends to join. And since Ted and I are the same age....
