>>I think Trump could be a Nebuchadnezzar to tear down an old system that had become corrupt.
Nebuchadnezzar was driven insane and spent a few years living like an animal in the desert; after which that man-king (confuzed with Lucifer in Isaiah 14) was ultimately reconciled to God.
There will never be such a reconciliation for that other character who tempted Jesus in the desert, or those who serve him - regardless of whether their servitude was through premeditation or deception.
Consider the character of Trump from another angle: is he a role model you’d want to hold up as an example for your children?
As with most, there are some things that are worthy and some things that aren’t.
But, IF Trump wins the election, and that is not a far-fetched notion anymore, what do you think is God’s intent?
More likely it is Belshazzar of Chapter 5 Daniel.
He was the one overthrown by Persia. His actions were an “in Your face” to God at the feast at which the handwriting on the wall appeared.
Oddly enough, chapter 5 Daniel was part of my reading this morning.
