Newt on Trump ad hominem attacks: "I think it makes us look stupid."
Fox News - Greta Van Susteren ^ | 2/15/2016 | Fox News

"I wish Trump would drop all of the personal ad hominem things which he seems to enjoy so much. I think it weakens the country, I think it weakens him, I think it makes us look stupid. Uh, and I'm not defending Cruz or anybody else. I'm just saying... I think the whole politics of this kind of personal stuff is almost deranged. It makes no sense to me to spend this kind of time on this kind of personality stuff."

Who's "we," Noot? It makes Trump and his supporters look stupid.

Correctamundo.

Show me any position where Trump is more Conservative. Taxes? Trump wants to raise them. Health care? Trump wants the federal government to fund it. Property rights? Trump believes that belongs to the person with the most influence. Amnesty? Trump wants to expedite the return of illegals. So help me understand. How is Trump more Conservative than Romney?

He is!

Who cares?!

You're mean!

Trump wins!

Cruz is Pinocchio!

That is OK, but MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN does just that and identifies what the change will be.

The gentile GOP-e candidates each say horrible things about the other candidates in their commercials and negative ads.

Can you imagine how bad it would be if they were Jewish.;-)

Oy vey!

How about something like "Change We Can Believe In"?

That is OK, but MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN does just that

The Prosecution rests, your Honor. Obama is running for a third term.

First, you’re wrong with you’re info.

Trump doesn’t want to raise taxes. Even JimRob has detailed this.

Trump will repeal 0Care and place free market solutions...like premium policies competing across state lines. Something we conservatives have been clammoring for, for YEARS. He doesn’t want ‘government to fund’ anything it isn’t/hasn’t. He wants the beaurocratic red tape cut out, and those here ILLEGALLY, that are draining our resources, deported, so that we actually SAVE $$ on those programs - for those who truly deserve.

Trump’s beliefs on property rights are Constitutional and no different than the other GOP candidates.

Lastly, Trump wants those who want to immigrate here to so, LEGALLY. If they meet ALL CURRENT requirements, then he wants our antiquated process (conservatives have pointed this out, for years) improved - which would expedite QUALIFIED candidates.

Facts are stubborn things for those who refuse to see what the MAJORITY of Americans are seeing, with Trump. He’s not the HISTORIC GOP FRONTRUNNER, for nothing.

Oh,mand Trump is the ONLY candidate NOT amnesty PAC owned.

Something your buddy McRomney, or ANY other candidate cannot say.

Besides his moment on the couch with Nancy, I will never forget his COMPLETE FOLD in the debate just before the Florida Primary in 2012. Deer-in-the-headlights-Newt just stared at Mitt while Mitt savaged him on the question of whether Newt had peddled influence during his post-Congressional years in Washington.

I was a Newt supporter all through that campaign, and continued as one after Newts crushing defeat in Florida. But I will never forget my utter disappointment in the guy on the debate stage that evening.

First, you're wrong with you're info. Trump doesn't want to raise taxes.

From Aug 27:

Donald Trump: Tax the rich more

Trump will repeal 0Care and place free market solutions...like premium policies competing across state lines.

That was Mitt Romney's position four years ago. Yet Donald Trump proposes that the federal government pay the medical costs of the 25% of the population without insurance.

"The Government's Gonna Pay For It"

Trump's beliefs on property rights are Constitutional and no different than the other GOP candidates.

You could not be more wrong. Trump supports the Kelo decision which is not Constitutional. Kelo make it possible for one person to take someone else's property away for their own personal use through government-sponsored eminent domain. The only other candidate in the race that supports this is Hillary Clinton. Not even Bernie Sanders supports this. So not only does Donald Trump line up to the left of Mitt Romney here, he also lines up to the left of Bernie Sanders.

Trump wrong on Kelo

Well, with his previous praise of Trump, I think Newt is including himself as being made to look stupid. He should have thought about that before backing a complete malignant narcissist like Trump.

I remember that. I was a Newt fan back then as well. If I remember correctly, Newt was leading in the polls and trying to play it safe during the debate — to run out the clock. And, I think this was the first time we saw Romney really get vicious. Newt wasn’t expecting it and it hurt him badly. That, along with the bloody Thursday crap that Drudge pulled, effectively shut down the Gingrich campaign. I still haven’t forgiven Drudge for that one.

If the Republicans keep up this childish nonsense, they can kiss the election good-bye. Trump might win the nomination with 35-40% of the Republican vote, but in the meantime he’s alienating the supporters of all the other candidates, not to mention his high negatives among independents.

I forget the details of bloody Thursday. I remember Drudge did something against Newt, but I forget what it was.

Oh yeah. Thanks. I remember now.

Drudge was wall-to-wall anti-Newt stories at one point.

It doesn’t make Trump look stupid, it exposes the stupidity of his followers.
