I’ve known men that could hardly afford to live in their car because of alimony and child support and I’ve known women that won’t lift a finger to help her own plight. I was a single mom for years and didn’t receive the child support I was due and it was hard, so I understand, but I did work and finally made made enough money so that my kids were taken well care of. Not letting my ex off the hook, however now that he actually has money he helps them more than I can.
EXACTLY! I too was a divorced mom before the days of draconian CS laws (in which the feds pays the states a kickback for most CS collected)
I didnt get any CS and yet my children became productive adults.
