Former Sen. Tom Coburn is angry about being quoted in the latest Donald Trump attack on Ted Cruz.
Coburn called the quote an "absolute fabrication."
As part of his never-ending criticism of Cruz, Trump's Twitter feed retweeted and pushed a quote ostensibly from Coburn criticizing Cruz as "one of the most dishonest people" in Washington. Coburn never said this.
----snip---
Trump retweeted his social media director Dan Scavino, in turn quoting Coburn talking about the Texas senator. "He is, without a doubt, one of the most dishonest people in D.C.," read the quote Scavino attributed to Coburn. However, the quote appears to come directly from progressive website ForwardProgressives.com and writer Allen Clifton, who used the exact language to describe Cruz.

Tom Coburn on the âCruz effectâ: Conservatives are losing confidence in Congress because of unreasonable expectations
tom coburn is a lover of the commie fag mooslim usurper barry soetoro. coburn is a scumbag.
That’s baloney..........
so for you TrumpUpers - it's okay for your boy to lie - to attribute something a far-left lib said as a statement by a republican Senator? - to denigrate a rival?
You people will excuse ANYTHING the huckster does/says - things that you be excoriating ANY other candidate for.
Yes you would. Be honest - at least with yourself.
Was this one tweeted by another lowly intern?
I will always appreciate the role he played in marginalizing Jeb.

That is still in the temporary column.
As long a Bush is in the race there is something fishy going on.
Bush could still be the nominee.
Imagine, for just a moment, that somehow Trump disappears from the race.
Within 2 months Bush will be #1.
Trump thinks Coburn is "highly respected".

Coburn joined Congressmen Sue Myrick (R-NC), Trent Franks (R-AZ), John Shadegg (R-AZ), Paul Broun (R-GA) and Patrick McHenry (R-NC) in a letter to IRS Commissioner Douglas H. Shulman on November 16, 2009, asking that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) be investigated for excessive lobbying and failing to register as a lobbying organization.
You mean this Tom Coburn?
I think you have him confused with some other Coburn, just like Trump did, apparently
Aren’t delegates free to vote as they please after two ballots? I fully expect a brokered convention if a majority isn’t achieved by convention time.
This has already been corrected by the person who posted it, Daniel Scovino.
It isn’t as though he lied about someone dropping out of the race inside the polling location during the caucus.
Of course Trump’s team took care of it.
Have mercy.
A haw, haw, haw, haw, a haw.
A haw, haw, haw.
I won’t argue that one. He could have called Sen. Coburn.
However, by way of excuse, a commander who has to check up on his staff is wasting time and proving the non-reliability of his staff.
Better to hammer them so it doesn’t happen the next time.
Should he apologize for the bad tweet? Sure, I would. And for recompense, I’d announce in my next presser that it was in error and should not be used.
Wow. Guess I should have used the < /sarcasm> tag.
But way to over-react! < /sarcasm>
