The founder of the Tea Party of America

Just a guess, but he's probably a DC insider who trademarked the name and bought some mailing lists, which he probably funded with Republican Super PAC money. That's called "optics" in the corrupt world of Washington DC political public relations.

I wouldn't rule out him being an opportunist who saw the Tea Party go viral and jumped on the bandwagon to get rich.

Jeb just made him a better offer is all.
