Mark tried to trip him up on Trump’s abrasive style, but Sessions wouldn’t bite and stuck to the big issues of immigration and trade.
Sessions also had some interesting comments about Rubio’s Gang of 8 membership.
Sessions refuted Rubio’s current claim that he Rubio wasn’t really for the Senate version (Rubio now claiming that he expected the bill to be amended in the House).
Sessions said he never heard that at the time, and that the Senate version passing “as is” in the House was a very near thing, stopped only by Cantor’s loss in the primary scaring the RINOs.
