“What are differences between citizen, naturalized citizen, and natural born citizen?”
Cruzers say there is no difference.

Actually intent by the parents was considered relevant in Ark.
But whatever. Enjoy.

So if Cruz doesn’t get the nomination maybe he should try for Prime minister of Canada?

I don’t know, and I wish they would.
If any of the candidates don’t meet the requirements, then they should be prohibited from running IMO.

Have you researched the fact his parents were registered voters in Canada the year he was born?
If so had they claimed Canadian citizenship and renounced their original ones?
Does Canada allow voting by non citizens?
There seems to be people who claim his Mother renounced her citizenship too...
I wish one person would get all the facts and report it clearly!
We can not even agree on Constitutional meaning of NBC.
If we do not like the child born here of 2 parents we try to use the immigration amendment to form a more liberal rule...
I am so tired of all this for over 8 years and still no definite decision has been accepted by the election supervisors or voters themselves!

So, Rubio drops out and his voters join Trey Gowdy and Tim Johnson and switch their support to Jeb.
Cruz drops out and his voters, very reluctantly, switch their support to Trump.
This is fun!

yup, i’d have zero problem with congress conferring “natural born” on that heroic soldier. but, the framers, ah the framers, even the authors of the 14th, they would be appalled.

“Rubio was born on U.S. soil to parents legally within the United States. That meets the definition of natural born citizen, “
WHAT????? LMAO Like passengers on a plane, changing planes, can spit out a future president. I mean, they are here legally... SMH the gymnastics are comical.

“If Rubio isnât a citizen, then neither are all anchor babies.”
Anchor baby citizenship can be decided by congress. No anchor baby is a Natural Born Citizen, which is a President /VP requirement.

By that criteria two non-citizen American hating Islamic terrorists could have a baby in the US, take it back to their country, raise it to be an American hating Islamic sleeper and have him run for President. True, but presidential eligibility also requires 14 years of US residence.

“congress conferring ânatural bornâ “
It’s a nice sentiment, but Congress can only nuturalize. They have no power to “grant” natural born status. It either is or it isn’t.

I think most of us agree. The constitution must be obeyed or we don’t have rule of law.

yeah. in a sane world it would require an amendment to give congress that power. and thinking further about it, i certainly wouldn’t want to give this congress of fools that power.
