Yes it is, and Trump is the biggest beneficiary of that vote. Had this been 2012 I think Cruz would be in a much better position than he’s in today because the resentment towards the political class, though visible, was still not deeply embedded in the electorate. Today, that hatred for elected Republicans is deep and it’s affecting all of the candidates except Trump. It’s payback time on the part of many GOP voters towards the party, and frankly the Grand Old Party deserves it!
