“More good people with guns measurably makes for a safer society.”

“In the past month, criminals have murdered six police officers in the line of duty. The number might have been eight if not for the actions of two concealed handgun permit holders.”

So lets let the federal and state government decide who those “good people” are and limit who can come to a police officers aid.
In this day and age when you can loose your right to
possess a firearm simply for pissing off a TSA agent,
people, good people, are all in for the a national gun
database that allows those the government deems “good people” to exorcise their constitutional right.

However, on the other hand, I could make an argument about
how small arms or anything that is not military grade, doe’s
not come under 2nd amendment constitutional protections.

Well, you’re preaching to the choir. I think even violent felons released from prison should be able to carry a gun. Those with bad intentions are going to acquire them if they want and those ready to live right need to protect themselves from even their old “friends”.

The less the government has to do with whether or not ANYONE has a gun, the more there will be good people with guns.

Is this where you’re coming from?
