Seems wishful thinking to pretend Cruz did not know exactly where he was or how to come back. He didn’t have to say but 3 words in Spanish to completely deflate Rubberio. That look on Marco’s face said it all.
It is not 'wishful thinking'... I had a conversation lately with a Texas Freeper that supports Cruz... The conversation went something like this... When Cruz was running for Senate in Texas, his opponent challenged Cruz to a debate in 'Spanish', Cruz apparently rejected the idea... The Freeper seemed to believe that Cruz does not speak Spanish...
Thus, when Rubio got Cruz to launch into speaking Spanish, I was shocked... And to see these two go after each other over who is the biggest liar and then see one reduced to retorting back in Spanish, was funnier than anything SNL comedy skit could dream up.
Had the debate been in Miami, south Texas, New Mexico, Arizona or California, it would not have the same impact as it did happening in South Carolina... They both lost control and it was funny.
