If Ginsberg dies or leaves the court soon, the pressure will be on to nominate and confirm at least one justice.

This is also worrisome.

Not withstanding all of this, I'm feeling terrible discussing a replacement for Justice Scalia when he has just passed this this morning!

It would be expected to replace a liberal with a liberal with Ginsberg.

But replacing a Conservative is a whole other kettle of fish. And the Rats know it. They aren’t stupid.

In a perfect world, we would wait. However, given the current role of the court, the stakes are too high.

What is unfortunate is that nine people have so much power.
