I thought Kerry had negotiated some kind of deal for a cease fire.

The Turks are coming to the aid of their imperiled fellow Islamists against the Kurds. Russia should shoot down the Turkish warplanes over Syria.

i have no idea where this is leading, because i’m not a military man nor can i read the minds of the leaders of countries.
I suspect those on the board with military backgrounds have a much more keen sense of what may occur next and would love the input.
this is not “kissing up”, this is asking experts what they think?

We need to stay out of the way. Also Turkey needs to know we won’t pull their chestnuts out of the fire.

You need a printed program to figure out what’s going on over there. This is as confusing as the breakup of Yugoslavia.

-I thought Kerry had negotiated some kind of deal for a cease fire.-
There are probably between five and ten groups fighting. Only two are professional militaries with a solid command and control structure. The rest are bands of people ranging from Muslim jihadists in multiple flavors to patriots to outright criminals. A ceasefire, as might be arranged between two solidly controlled militaries is simply not possible. To think that it is possible is crazy. Of course, there are some crazy people in our government now.

Russia will neutralize that threat in several hours.

We’ve been so fortunate to have Obama at the helm the past seven years with his incredibly capable Secretaries of State Clinton and Kerry. Otherwise the world would be in a real mess.

(1) Obama’s Turkish pals are showing their support for ISIS.
(2) Turkey is attacking a foreign nation. They should be removed from NATO.

He did. The problem is that we don't know who his boss (Obama) is pulling for and what the goal is. We do know that Kerry is incompetent. Is it still a "cease fire" if only one side stops shooting?
To be fair, the deal did acknowledge that only some of the parties involved in this mess were in agreement and others would keep shooting. I hate being fair to Kerry/Obama but I think this was expected.

Time for Putin to bloody Turkey's nose. With Turkey being the aggressor and invader, there is no way NATO is going to back them up.
