15 percent of latest Hillary Clinton’s emails marked classified
Washington Times ^ | 02/13/16 | Stephen Dinan

More than 15 percent of the latest batch of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails released Saturday contain classified information, with three of the messages being labeled “secret” — continuing to add to the questions surrounding her email use.

One of the messages is an extensive missive from David Satterfield, a top U.S. diplomat to Egypt, who told top officials in both the White House and State Department about negotiations in the Sinai. The entire contents of the messages are now deemed “secret,” though there is no indication they were marked as such at the time. The message was forwarded to Mrs. Clinton by top aide Jacob Sullivan.

In addition to the three “secret” messages, more than 80 others were marked “confidential” — the lower level of secrecy — and also heavily redacted.

The department released 551 messages Saturday in response to a federal judge’s order.

The department had hoped to delay the release of the messages until the end of this month, which would have meant voters in more than a dozen states would have cast ballots in the Democratic presidential primary with little chance to digest the emails.

Judge Rudolph Contreras instead ordered the department to release the messages in installments, with Saturday’s being the first of a series that will last until Feb. 29.

All of the emails were supposed to have been released by Jan. 29, or before the first votes were cast. But just ahead of that deadline, and with a snowstorm hitting Washington, the State Department told Judge Contreras they’d recently discovered more than 4,000 emails they’d never sent out to other agencies to check for classified or other private material.

In a filing late Friday, a top State Department open-records official took blame for his department breaking the end-of-January deadline.

The focus needs to zero in on “Pay for Play” corruption.

I agree, but we have a complicit Congress that has not produced ANY pressure on the offending parties.

It would only take 1 email for the rest of us to do 20 in the pen.

Are these emails being released only from those that Her Thighness handed over, or is the State Department also culling emails from those sent from actual State Department servers? Please only answer if you are sure, I don’t want opinions (need to be 100% accurate on this for reasons I won’t get into)

But they were not “marked” classified at the time she sent or received them (since she chose not to mark them classified) so it is ok.

Under the same logic, you can tell classified secrets to anyone you want since your words are not “marked” classified at the time that they leave your mouth.

This is another what the meaning of the word is is.

Messages are marked with their exact TYPE and LEVEL of classification, such as FOUO, Confidential, secret, top secret and never have the WORD "classified" imprinted on any of them.

The very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, (Got that.. VERY) most important thing is top secret and SAP are ONLY found in the very closed JWICS ecosystem NEVER connected to the outside world (air gap). SIPRnet is FOUO, confidential and secret, again, there is NO CONNECTION to the outside world internet. Extreme, deliberate espionage is required to hand carry classified data from a closed JWICS or SIPRnet system into an unclas NIPRnet or other unsecure network.

And be assured it will never happen in your lifetime.

She will either buy a pardon from Obama (if needed) or pardon herself upon taking office (if needed).

This is such a blatant decision to let her get away with very public multiple felonies. Anyone else would be in jail, security clearance taken long ago. The pantsuit and her minions need to be perp walked.

I’ve been walking the plant a little while. This is changing my attitude towards the federal criminal justice system. I can’t let this one slip as big shot rich girl goes free. This is a very public official getting away with blatant felonies. Can’t spin this anymore, feds.

If she isn’t indicted soon, ground shift. My attitude will be, f-them. They are a crime syndicate (whether the lower folks are in on it or not), and need to be treated as such. Even though they are powerful, they depend on the pretty much automatic cooperation of us law abiding boy scout type good citizens. If our attitude changes to “these people are the enemy,” we can do a lot of damage without advertising, warning, or taking credit. And that’s all I’m going to say, other than I really doubt I will be alone.

Another article this morning made me think of a few questions to ask my Hillary supporting friends

1) What happens if Putin goes to Hillary before (or after) the election and says “we hacked your server and I have all of your email”?
2) Will Hillary be able to know for sure if he’s bluffing? What will she doing if she’s not sure?
3) If he’s not bluffing does he have information he can use to blackmail her or derail her attempts to work with foreign leaders? Blackmail is possible even if he is bluffing.
4) Are my friends so certain of the triviality of the email situation that these questions don’t matter?

Forget the legality. I’d love to see this woman in jail, but who could possibly vote for her. You can’t just “think” or “feel” that she didn’t intentionally do anything wrong. She could already be in a position that’s unthinkable for the President of the US even if she didn’t do anything wrong.

If Russia has over 1000 classified emails and 30,000 “personal emails” from her server she is compromised - no ifs, ands, or buts. And not just Russia, but China, Iran, Syria, N Korea, the Russian mafia, Al Qeada (this was before ISIS), and others had the technical capability to hack her server and the US sec of state was undeniably a target.

How much more do taxpayers need to pay? Seems to me she could have been convicted multiple times on what they have now.

I mentioned that months ago.
Especially given that the Obama admin is the most “tech savvy” in history, per the MSM.

As I’ve said on another thread, I’ve received “confidential” emails from the state department and I have zero clearance.

Nothing is marked classified. There are only three classifications; CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET and TOP SECRET.

That's part of why I'm so sure nothing will happen to her. Everyone who sent or received classified information to/from her email is guilty of mishandling the information. They should have known when they sent it and they should have notified the right agencies or DOJ if they received the info from that email. I'd guess her surrogates have made sure every sender/recipient of those emails is aware that they also mishandled classified information (and it doesn't matter if they were aware at the time).

They don’t have to be marked anything. They’re training to recognize sensitive material, it is classified by default. If photos of secret NK nuclear sites were sent to you, with no markings, it’s obvious it is classified material.

This whole “nothing was marked classified” thing is nonsense.

They have enough evidence right now. There is no excuse for not prosecuting. As the we’re all not equal under the law at this time, we should not recognize the authority of the government. This has gone too far.

Even ONE classified email should have been enough to throw her in prison. What gives?

She is probably threatening to rat everyone else out if prosecuted?

In other words mutually assured destruction.
