Believing that helium is heaver than air is like believing Trumpy is a conservative who is going to do what he’s promising.

Bad assumption: Manners are of the utmost importance. Every time Trump utters a naughty word, the media go nuts. The story was everywhere on Tuesday (you know the one; he repeated an audience member's use of the word "pussy"). I heard more than one talking head predict that Trump would lose the New Hampshire primary when voters found out. Didn't happen; never will. Trump doesn't do manners, and his supporters don't want him to.

Washington's well spoken elites have bankrupted the country.

They've allowed the borders to be unprotected and flooded the country with illegals who prey on the rest of us...

They've sold State Secrets and Access... BUT within their DC drawing rooms they speak in poetry and have the right tailors and eat in cool restaurants...Monsters who 'speak well... And we're suppose to be impressed with their shallow narcissism?

So really who gives an 'eff' what they think - our elites are horrors destroying our county while...'speaking' well? Speaking well - as if that's an excuse for what they've done to us and our jobs and our lives/ A pox on their house.

I for one am not deluded into thinking Trump is a conservative, but then again neither was Ronald Reagan. Both are/were more conservative than liberal who came from liberal beginnings. But both aged into a more conservative stance. Your impressions of Trump are based upon Trump in earlier stages of his life. When you read Trump's more recent thoughts you realize he has grown to be more conservative with age. I myself was more liberal when younger, not to mention easily swayed and more impressionable. Granted I probably turned more conservative at any earlier age, but then that was because I was affected more by what liberalism was really doing. Taking away freedoms and replacing them with hallow promises.

The truth is well documented that Cruz does not know how to build consensus for his beliefs as was evidenced by his lack of accomplishment within the Senate. We can blame the RINO's, and to a certain extent that is true. But Ted also played a part in his ineffectual ability to accomplish anything. A true leader finds a way to get things accomplished, just like Reagan did. If you think he didn't face the same type of opposition, you are wrong.

Beyond that I do not believe Cruz qualifies as a natural born citizen, thus is ineligible to hold the office of President of the United States.

Cruz did not have the standing as a first term senator to effect change in that body. NOBODY would. Rubio went the route of joining the liberals who live on both sides of the isle in order to fit in. Cruz stood up for what he believes and for the reasons he was elected. As a president, everyone who is elected president has a lot lot lot lot more influence than a first term senator in the United STates senate.

For me, when I hear that Cruz wasn't able to get anything done in the Senate.... that means nothing to me. The fact that he stood on principle means a lot to me.

True leadership figures out how to get support, regardless of supposed standing. He has as much standing as any other Senator. Cruz got minimal support at best. Sure he had great ideas but because he couldn't figure out how to sell his great ideas those ideas never materialized into results.

I have serious doubts he could build enough support to win a general election, just as I have doubts he can even win the primaries. Ideas are the starting point, but if you fail to make anything develop from those ideas they remain ideas and are soon either dismissed or forgotten about.

In the long run, we are going to get screwed. One way or the other. It’s too late for anything else.

After 3 decades of the never ending crime and everything else filthy and disgusting from this evil harridan I am going to enjoy the small pleasure of seeing her nose rubbed in her own crap. And I don’t give a damn who does it.

But does he have the knowledge and courage to call Mitch McConnell a liar?

Knowledge is a given, Everyone knows McConnell is [at best] a liar.

I imagine he has the gumption to do it, should it become politically expedient to do so. If "Harry's Bitch" keeps his distance, there is no point. He's skewering the GOPe already, which includes MM by inference.

The GOP electorate is just not drinking the Kool Aid this time around.

No, if the polls are correct, they've graduated to Trump's hootch.
