It’s not just the working class the establishment doesn’t understand. It’s also the entrepreneurial class, the patriotic class and the rule-of law class.
Trump also takes heat from the “Conservative values” crowd, and this is understandable, though somewhat misguided in my opinion. The reason I say this is that there is a time and a place to emphasize weakening government, and this is not it. Right now America needs to stand tall against the insidious forces of globalism that seek to destroy our beloved nation through eradication of borders, usurpation of our national sovereignty in trade, negation of America through unconstitutional treaties (e.g., global warming, TPP, Iran etc.), weakening of our military (gays and treating women same as men), deliberately destroying our economic system in so many ways (carbon taxes, creation of dependency classes, etc.), and of course endless political correctness in the service of international socialism.
THERE ARE TIMES when the NATION NEEDS TO BE STRENGTHENED, even in the government sphere.
EXHIBIT A: The founders fought to create a stronger central government.
EXHIBIT B: The Civil War was fought to avoid the disintegration of our central government.
EXHIBIT C: NOW—when the insidious forces of globalism attempt to destroy our nation from within and without.
The basic Trump plan is to drastically strengthen the American nation, in part by SHRINKING TAXES. But also, with a WALL, and with TARIFFS. Notwithstanding the whining of some talk radio people, he is essentially saying: FREE ENTERPRISE IS THE AMERICAN THING. We will use it to our own advantage, thank you very much.
THE WALL!!
Those, who are scared of what you posted, have some real problems and are part of the problems in America. Or they have a vested interest in keeping the flow of illegals into America.
I agree with you in sprint but the founder created a republic with a purposely weak central government with a few very defined limited functions. The lions share of power originality lied with the states.
