They never said anything about turning the money over to Trump. I doubt they’ll even give him a list.
If you read this email closely you’ll realize that what the RNC actually wants is a two pound postage-due packet of used tea-bags. (At least that’s what I’m planning on sending them.)
The RNC shlub on the phone call I just got read a script claiming they - and this is a direct quote - "are the ONLY organization permitted by law to give to the nominee." Implying that any money I'd donate to them would go to whoever I'm supporting.
I laughed.
They are going to use any donations to damage Trump any which way they can.
