CNNâs Jake Tapper confronted Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz over the âriggedâ process in New Hampshire that left Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton with the same number of delegates despite Sandersâ 22 point shellacking of Clinton.
Appearing on CNNâs âThe Leadâ with Jake Tapper on Thursday, after Wasserman Schultz attempted an explanation, Tapper said, âIâm not sure that, that answer would satisfy an anxious young voter.â (RELATED: After Crushing Defeat, DNC Quirk Still Gives Hillary More New Hampshire Delegates Than Sanders)
âHillary Clinton lost to Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire by 22 percentage points, the biggest victory in a contested Democratic Primary there since John F. Kennedy,â Tapper explained. âBut it looks as though Clinton and Sanders are leaving the Granite State with the same number of delegates in their pockets because Clinton has the support of New Hampshireâs superdelegates, these party insiders.â
Tapper then asked Wasserman Schultz, âWhat do you tell voters who are new to the process, who says this makes them feel like itâs all rigged?â
âWell, let me just make sure that I can clarify exactly what was available during the primaries in Iowa and in New Hampshire. The unpledged delegates are a separate category. The only thing available on the ballot in a primary and a caucus is the pledged delegates. Those that are tied to the candidates that they are pledged to support and they receive a proportional number of delegates going into, going into our convention,â Wasserman Schultz said.
Is The Democratic Party Presidential Nomination Process Rigged?
Yes No

We are as a Democratic Party really highlight and emphasize inclusiveness and diversity at our convention, and so we want to give every opportunity to grassroots activists and diverse, committed Democrats to be able to participate, attend, and be a delegate at the convention. And so we separate out those, those unpledged delegates to make sure that there isnât competition between them.â
Tapper replied, âIâm not sure that, that answer would satisfy an anxious young voter, but letâs move on.â
How come this is bad this election but was not bad in previous elections?
That is the bitter truth. My "crazy" friends who have always argued that our Two Party System is a rigged game don't seem so crazy anymore. There is a revolution brewing on both sides and one of them will eventually prevail. Either way, manipulated emotions will trump philosophy and what is left of our once-great Republic will be swept away.
Nothing democratic about it. Tell the youth to get out and vote, every vote counts but not in the democrat party.
Exactly. Dems are for inclusiveness and diversity as long as white Christians (especially hetero males) are excluded. They like to control and pander the diversity process. Liberals are like little lemmings who accept their leadership decisions without question. Does anyone think DWS has any concept that all lives matter as do all voters?
A better question is why does the democratic party require delegate selection to follow strict racial, gender, etc., quota systems?
...same as the old hair...
THE DEMOCRATS DO NOT BELIEVE IN DEMOCRACY.. VOTING IS FOR THE MASSES. ONLY THE ELITES GET TO DECIDE WHO WILL BE NOMINATED. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Interesting choice of words, or am I reading in something you didn't intend?
“Unpledged delegates exist really to make sure that party leaders and elected officials donât have to be in a position where they are running against grassroots activists.”
THIS is how you follow up Jake:
So, the DNC has decided to RIG THE SYSTEM AGAINST DEMOCRACY?
Shouldn’t ALL “party leaders and elected officials” have to gain the support of grassroots activists?
Exactly. Instead Tapper says let’s move on.org.
Yeah. New hair.
Those Medusa worms growing from her scalp are a bit shorter in the new haircut.

I love Jake! He’s like the opposite of Sam Donaldson, all those uncomfortable questions aimed at the left.
The Dems debated doing the same stunt in 2008 when that upstart black guy was a threat to The Wildebeest. Mr. Obama’s people made it clear that cities would burn if they attempted it.
I doubt Bernie’s backs will come close to having that level of credibility...Bernie will be stopped.
White liberal elites created superdelegates to stop their base (blacks and union guys) from taking power away from them.
It’s a deception of power for the powerless...
And it’s racist.
