This is good news. Now if they would make buying anything on the Internet tax free; it would be even better.

Illinois is not mentioned as a taxing state.
Illinois has a use tax.
Things bought from vendors outside illinois are subject to a 6.25 sales tax.
If you don’t keep records, Illinois imputes your tax owed based on your salary, even if you never bought anything online.
seems Illinois should be in this group.

It may not be as significant as those other things, but it isn’t meaningless.
It’s an explicit acknowlegement, by Obama no less, that if you want something to thrive the last thing you do is tax it.
That acknowlegement, in principle, has enormous value.

They should put a $1.00 tax on each gallon of internet you use. ;-)

Excellent news. And it was a Republican Congress that made this happen.

Permanent, until a future congress decides to tax it. They have no ability to make a permanent law.On the flip side, at least future folks will have to consciously decide to soak everyone instead of just claiming that they 'just allowed things to normalize" by stopping continuance of the moratorium....

Internet tax ban permanent...Or until they change their minds and repeal this... - ANDROID PING!
Android Ping!
If you want on or off the Android Ping List, Freepmail me.
So what...are we supposed to thank them or congratulate them on agreeing (for now anyway) *not* to tax this one small part of our lives? Sorry, guess I'm feeling a bit cynical this AM...
