The conservatives stayed home mantra was greatly overstated. That was not the reason we lost the Romney election.
Trump mentioned how amazed by politicians being nasty to each other during the debate and just fine during the commercial breaks. Trump has somewhat gotten over it, but I still don’t think he’s used to it.
Cruz must fight Trump, right now, for conservative South Carolina....Has to.
I believe that Trump still likes Cruz. You could see it at the last debate. Trump called him out when Ted refused to say to Trump’s face, the “temperament claims” made on the campaign trail. But rather than brutalizing Cruz when he backed down when facing Trump, Trump merely stated “that is what I want to do with foreign leaders.
Meaning foreign leaders will back down.
You can disagree with me, but I think Trump looks at Ted like a young man. (Trump is 25 years older).
When he goes after Ted, he chides him for bad behavior.
In the end...I think it will get patched up between them.

Lets see what happens with Independents. I think Trump will do very well... and unlike Romney, Trump has almost zero gender gap.
Trump is actually doing quite well with Evangelicals too.
