And Trump continues aggressive moves to keep Cruz from gaining. Master tactician?
He sure seems to instinctively know how to stay several steps ahead of the opposition. To me that signals a successful presidency.
Jeb will probably finish well, perhaps second, in SC; Rubio will probably finish well, probably second, in Florida. Trump will finish first in both places, and will poll well throughout the South, where he draws big. He's already second in Texas, behind Cruz, and who can beat Trump in NY or CA (the other two of the four largest states)? The only current potential obstacle to his nomination is the convention superdelegates, and one thing we know about the GOP elite is, they're spineless. There may be a few dozen who are so dedicated and beholden to the DNC that they'll be vocal in opposition to the nomination of Trump, but the net result will be, he'll be nominated, pick the perfect running mate, and by 2020's convention there will have been significant adjustments made to the cast of characters among the superdelegates.
