One of CRuz’s largest donors, Robert Mercer (he’s given CRuz over $31MILLION), has given $750,000 to the Club for (Mexico’s) Growth.
Club for Growth has given CRuz over $750K.
See how this works?
Tell me CRuz is NOT owned by the amnesty loving/Cheap labor express cabal.
`Conservatism, Redux’
The IRS decides what qualifies as a 501(C) organization, even if such decisions are arbitrary and unfair. They have made their decisions without being held responsible for penalizing groups that fail their particular political litmus test, almost always conservative groups.
The Club For Growth and Free Republic are both political e-organizations. The CFG has assets, staff and brick-and-mortar facilities arguably greater than those available to FR. They both claim to be conservative.
The CFG has been found to satisfy the following requirements by the IRS in order to be considered an `exempt’ organization for federal tax purposes: Exemption Requirements - Political Organizations
“A political organization subject to section 527 is a party, committee, association, fund, or other organization (whether or not incorporated) organized and operated primarily for the purpose of directly or indirectly accepting contributions or making expenditures, or both, for an exempt function.
A political organization must be organized for the primary purpose of carrying on exempt function activities. A political organization’s primary activities must be exempt function activities. A political organization may engage in activities that are not exempt function activities, but these may not be its primary activities.
To be exempt, a political organization must file a timely notice with the IRS that it is to be treated as a tax-exempt organization.”
Here the Club for Growth, an unabashed advocate for open borders, cheap labor, a `globalist new world order’ infanticide, gay rights, “comprehensive immigration reform”—and all that comes with those things—is actively using its 501(C) status and large donations and considerable assets to support candidates it favors, Rubio or Cruz. As shown by this article, the CFG works to defeat a candidate it does not support—here, the leading Republican candidate, Donald Trump.
Free Republic works with the means available to it to defeat left-wing, liberal, “progressive” Democrat and moderate Republican (R-lite) candidates.
At the end of the day, if we are to believe the RNC—one is a conservative organization deserving of support while the other is filled with pajama-wearing hobbits and wacko birds. Death to the GOP-e.
