I remember, a long time ago, when Free Republic was united in their hatred of the Kelo decision - using eminent domain to force a private citizen off their property and not use it for public good but to allow use by another private citizen.
On that old FR, we would have applauded this lady’s decision to hold to her property if that is what she wanted to do - even if we would have sold out. It was her property, respect that. Make an offer, make your best offer. But don’t take her to court to force her out...or hide behind the city while they do it.
I didn’t know much about this case, just heard rumblings. So I had to do some reading. While the large Trump building was going up, reports say she had windows broken and a fire even broke out on her roof.
You are right, she didn’t lose crap. Assuming that someone else paid her legal bills, and she really enjoyed spending all that time in court rooms and with reporters.
But she won. She beat the billionaire who some might say tried to bully her.

I agree. Cruz knows he can’t beat Trump’s message which is hitting home with the voters, so he is resorting to this low tactics. I don’t think this go over well with the voters. Sleazy attack ads never seem to work out well.
