I can understand the Establishment's fear & loathing regarding Trump. There's no precedent for him.
The truth of the matter is, is that the American public has grown accustomed to a log line of suave, eloquent, highly intelligent, elitist, lying Sophists for too long.
Trump is indeed a loose canon and he is not polished, we have, until now, adored “polished”. That gleaming Presidential quality has caused this country to nose dive yet, in a sweet and eloquent way.
Trump is an unpredictable, brash and in your face Bronx, New Yorker. He is a spoiled imbecile sometimes BUT... and this is a big but, he is a patriot and has adopted the Teddy Roosevelt approach.
America is indeed at the crossroads and we need a tough, somewhat unpredictable (for our growing enemies’ list) leader.
Trump is a huge risk but in a post-Obama world, it may perhaps be the remedy for our ongoing paralysis.
