After decades of investigation, Paul Schrade has no doubt about the identity of the man who shot him in the head shortly after midnight on June 5, 1968, in the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel:
It was Sirhan Sirhan, the same gunman convicted of assassinating Robert F. Kennedy.
And yet, when Schrade came face to face with Sirhan for the first time in nearly 50 years, at a parole hearing in San Diego on Wednesday, he argued that the notorious gunman wasn't Kennedy's killer.
But the panel wasn't swayed and Sirhan was denied parole for the 15th time, according to the Associated Press, which noted:
Commissioners concluded after more than three hours of intense testimony at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Center that Sirhan did not show adequate remorse or understand the enormity of his crime.
Still, the AP reported, Schrade forgave his shooter during the hearing and apologized to Sirhan not doing more to win his release.
"I should have been here long ago and that's why I feel guilty for not being here to help you and to help me," Schrade said.
The AP noted that "Schrade's voice cracked with emotion during an hour of testimony on his efforts to untangle mysteries about the events of June 5, 1968." He said he believed Sirhan shot him, the AP noted, but that a second unidentified shooter killed Kennedy.

Medical examiner Thomas Noguchi determined four shots at Senator Kennedy were back to front, down to up, right to left, point blank, a position never occupied by Sirhan but describing that of Ace Security Guard Thane Eugene Cesar.Acoustic analysis accounted for eight shots from Sirhan's Iver Johnson and five from an H & R 922 of the type Cesar lied he'd sold before the assassination.
LAPD detectives Pena and Hernandez systematically suppressed evidence and testimony indicating a second shooter. Pantry ceiling panels and door jambs with bullet holes were destroyed.
Scott Enyart took photos of the candidate from the steam table which were held for three decades only released after a lawsuit--then removed from the courier's car during a contrived traffic altercation.
Really needs a new barber.
Exactly right.
There's a good little liberal. Finally on message despite his 50 year-hatred of the man who tried to kill him. God help me I despise them: this worthless POS and Sirhan. The world would be a better place if they were both dead and gone.
zWhy does the LSM not point out that SS is a Pali Muzzie?
Let him rot.
the parole board must be a bunch of racists.
Poor Obama is probably conflicted over this. Sirhan Sirhan is a Palestinian terrorist and murderer, so our Dear Leader would love to pardon him. However, self-interest is probably causing some concern. The thug in our White House doesn’t want his fellow thugs to think it’s okay to kill people like him (just people like us).
Barking moonbat says "MOOOO".
Looks like a suspension and not a full-on lightning-ride zot. There seems to be an uptick in that sort of thing lately.
Denied parole. And yet that little mutt Hinckly who shot President Reagan is free.
Putting aside his crime, that is very bizarre this guy has been in a cage for the past 48 years. I wonder what happens to the mind after being in jail that long. Just think: He has been in prison BEFORE men walked on the moon.

If it’s a full-on zot, you get a different message, something like “No such account” in red.
never saw that, got a link?
Not off hand. I’ve seen it before, though.
