My point is that a candidates' sex ought not be relevant in the consideration of that person as a candidate. It is not a qualification for office.

With all due respect, I don't agree. People make decisions based on all measure of criteria. It's what makes us human.

We certainly agree on that point. A corollary to that is that people often don’t make decisions based on a single reason.
