What have elected Republicans in Congress ever done for conservatism? Once you can answer that then you’ll understand why conservatives are not unanimously supporting Cruz.

Plenty.

It was because of Trump that the issues of the border, Islamic terrorists sneaking in through our border, and a ban on Islamic immigration were put into the public eye.

Before Trump, no one dared to say a thing because political correctness. Even Cruz, who is supposedly the conservative golden child, barely said anything, and he had the entire field to himself for weeks on end.

You think that this would be mentioned at ALL without Trump basing his entire campaign on it? If you do, I have some prime oceanfront property in Wyoming for you.

I get my conservatism from the founders of conservative thought, not from Hannity or Levin.

Russell Kirk said “The true conservative is a man of the future rooted in the past”. And, “in whatever they do, endeavor to safeguard the institutions and the wisdom of the past, not slavishly but prudently.”

By creating a great company that has created and preserved over 34,000 jobs and presently employs over 24,500 and generates revenue of $9.5 billion per year. That’s put a lot of food on tables, kids through college, paid a lot of mortgages — in other words, Trumps companies have preserved the American middle class way of life for thousands of Americans. And this isn’t even counting the multiplier effect, by which those dollars have recirculated through local economies - typically as between 5 and 8 times.

I think he meets and exceeds the true standards of conservatism.

How many of Ted Cruz’s speeches on conservatism put a dime in anyone’s pocket?

Whereas, Cruz stood for many hours on the Senate floor, filibustering Obozocare...the ONLY Pub Senator to launch that fight!
(For the record, Rubio and Paul helped him out for a stint or two...)
