Problem is, it is a fool’s errand to trust Trump on any of these things. He’s got no track record on most of them and, figuratively speaking, it was about five minutes ago that he was saying the polar opposite. He doesn’t demonstrate fealty to overarching principles which would help him navigate the waters when issues come up that were not known of in advance. And he is often spectacularly unkind to his opponents.
We've been saying for...what, 200+ years? that our Founding Fathers called for citizen politicians who served for a few years then went back home.
That kind of person, by definition, will have no track record. Before he announced for President Trump was, to use terminology from The Godfather, a civilian.
>>Heâs got no track record on most of them
How many years have we been saying, “I’m sick of having to choose between politicians! I want a Citizen-Statesman who rises up from the private sector and takes on the entrenched political machines of both parties and then plans on going back to the private sector. I want someone who has built wealth, paid taxes, created jobs.”
How long has that been our Holy Grail? Now, we worry about “track records”?? smh
You don’t get it, Trump is just a symbol of what the people want. Whether he accomplishes anything or not really doesn’t matter, it is irrelevant. He is showing the way forward and even if he fails, he has turned the ship in the right direction. He is the human Ft Sumter and has the full and undivided attention of the Establishment.
