What I think happened in Iowa was voter crossover, as indicated by exit polling regarding the youth vote and a strange change by former Romney counties.
As New Hampshire allows “Independents” to vote either Republican or Democrat, it’s possible that there could be some organized effort to alter the Republican primary, especially since the Democrat primary seems predetermined.
Regardless whether something odd occurs tonight, this crossover voting (or the New Hampshire variation) should be stopped as it truly allows for vote manipulation.
That’s what the Establishment did in Mississippi to Chris McDaniel. They actively sought Democrats to come into the Republican primary runoff and support Lott.
I agree with you that crossover voting is a bad idea. Republican primaries should be decided by Republicans and Democrat primaries by Democrats.
But the rules (for now, anyway) are what they are. If Trump starts complaining about the results, it will not look good for him. Especially after complaining about Iowa. it will look like Rush’s comment about him was right.
