I know a family that was called to the White House for a photo op with Reagan. One of their sons had won a writing contest or something.
The family was ushered into a small room in the White House, and were told it would be a very, very quick photo. The President's helicopter was waiting and he had a very important meeting with a foreign leader.
Reagan walked in, and noticed one of their sons was in a wheel chair. He went straight to the boy, hugged him, and asked him how he was. The boy replied that he had a disease, but he was happy to meet the President. Reagan wiped away a tear, and walked over to give orders to his assistants. He took one photo, and then asked everyone but the family to leave the room. Reagan then spent the next 20 minutes with the family, and ended by praying for them.
The boy died the next year, and his family never forgot his kindness.
Imagine Obama doing that.
I can imagine Trump doing something along that vein - all except for the praying part.
