A gold standard is simply the requirement to have convertibility into a fixed amount of gold. A unit of currency is a demand on gold or silver, or something real. Right now your unit of currency is a demand for a piece of paper from the Federal Reserve. That means the Federal Reserve decides 100% what your wages, savings and assets are worth.

I certainly agree with Cruz on this. I also believe that Donald Trump is moving in the same direction; and, of course, I continue to support both men. (

Amongst the current crop of Republican candidates, Ted Cruz is the gold standard. The Founding Fathers inserted the gold clause in the Constitution precisely because of creeps such as Obama. And what did Lenin say about debauching the currency again?
