Manchester, New Hampshire (CNN)
Sen. Ted Cruz knowingly misstated CNN's reporting during Saturday's Republican primary debate, despite the fact that CNN's reporting was correct all along.
Cruz blamed CNN for a message his campaign sent to supporters the night of the Iowa caucuses suggesting Carson was going to suspend his campaign.
"My political team saw CNN's report breaking news and they forwarded that news to our volunteers, it was being covered on live television," Cruz said during the debate.
Cruz also claimed CNN had inaccurately reported that Carson was suspending his campaign "from 6:30 p.m. to 9:15," and "didn't correct that story until 9:15 that night."
That is false. CNN never reported that Carson was suspending his campaign and never issued a correction, because there was no need to do so.
In a statement out Saturday night, CNN responded, "What Senator Cruz said tonight in the debate is categorically false. CNN never corrected its reporting because CNN never had anything to correct. The Cruz campaign's actions the night of the Iowa caucuses had nothing to do with CNN's reporting. The fact that Senator Cruz continues to knowingly mislead the voters about this is astonishing."...

Cruz lied.
His supporters tried.
His credibility died.
Very well said. And now its haunting him so much he wants to meet with nice Doc Carson, Doc don’t give him the time of day, don’t meet with Cruz, he is a snake.
you do understand what politics is? yes?
It is a form of combat, and the Golden Rule does not apply.
If CNN had hypothetically done what you suggest, I would expect Carson or any other candidate to jump all over it for their own advantage.
enough said.
“CNN never corrected its reporting because CNN never had anything to correct”
CNN is lying again. Chris Moody did correct his false reporting via tweets. Last time I checked Moody was a reporter for CNN.
Btw, did Carson’s poorly worded release mention that he had a “big announcement” coming? If not, where did Cruz get that particular detail?
“So the option is to believe either CNN or Glen Beck?
Thatâs a coin flip.....”
You are not kidding. That is certainly a toss up. Could go either way.
Cruz lied.
His supporters tried.
His credibility died.
Very well said. And now its haunting him so much he wants to meet with nice Doc Carson, Doc don’t give him the time of day, don’t meet with Cruz, he is a snake.

Facts AND a video clip to back it up? What are you thinking?
That has NO Place here...where innuendo, Washington Compost and Huffington post is all you need to know. That and a Fathead Poster of David Brock on your Wall.
Where in your Bible does it say the Golden Rule does not apply to politics?
Let it go already.
This will devolve rapidly into a pointless theological debate.
suffice it to say we disagree and leave it at that.
Have a good day, FRiend.
CNN still circling the wagons?
By that same token what would have prevented Carson from Tweeting each one of his competitors' campaigns to say that although he was taking a break from his campaign to go home and wash his clothes and that he wasn't going to go straight to NH or SC, but to the prayer breakfast in DC instead, that none of the campaigns should assume he's dropping out?
Doesn't Carson himself owe it to his campaign and to his acolytes to man up and admit he was completely tone deaf to the implications his actions signaled to any thinking person out there?
Why must Carson have to rely on Cruz to be the mouthpiece for his travel schedule?
Why is it Cruz's obligation to have to prevent Carson from making such a deliberately foolish campaign blunder?
All IA reveals is that Carson was never ready for prime time.
FReegards!
Except it isn’t CNN’s reporting he is pointing to - it is CNN’s tweeting.
CNN is not a bystander in this incident, and they are spinning madly to absolve themselves.
And, no, that does not mean I think Cruz’s campaign is completely in the right, either. Neither is Carson’s.
A Cruzbot got on me for posting "[my] usual one liner snarks", so I've moved on to more fruitful fields.

Why why why you can’t do that. You photo shopped that!
ROTFLMAO
Okay Trumbies Don’t stare too long or the blood will run out of your eyes. :)
It’s hardly pointless to argue that Christian politicians should lie, cheat and steal to the same degree non-Christian pols do. Jesus had a lot to say about being the salt and light of the earth. He never suggested that only applies to non-politicians.
Perhaps Ted Cruz's giant staff of full-time reporters can respond to CNN's giant staff of full-time reporters.
Oh, wait...
