Schlichter is always fun to read. Not a bad article. Can’t figure out if his intent is “damning with faint praise”, or something else.

It’s easy to make the conservative case against Donald Trump - he’s a Hillary-donating human troll doll who displays the interpersonal skills of Damien from “The Omen” while practicing the same deep, abiding commitment to conservative ideology as Charlie Sheen does to sobriety.

Weak. And so lame. I don’t feel this way at all.

I support Trump because he is fresh and new and I trust him.

So he gets elected, and he expands government and we are suppose to cheer.

Money Line:

“Most of Trump’s supporters are good people, patriotic Americans burned by an elite that sees their misery as collateral damage in a coastal, urban-led struggle for feel-good progressive change and personal enrichment”

That describes Washington very concisely. Hell, it pretty much describes most of the state capitals.

I started reading, and thought it was another set-up to trash Donald Trump. But I was pleasantly surprised at the compliments thrown Donald’s way. In the end, I got a sense of surrender on the part of the GOPe.

Here’s why:
Because we are sick of BOTH PARTIES LYING TO US and getting nothing but more of the same, year after year after year...

Not totally embracing this man’s words.....which...some of them...are insulting....
...but a lot of them are endorsing Trump’s attributes

The damning with faint praise at the end....meh

Could be worse

I read the whole article and thought it was a HUGE step forward for TownHall. I hope more media sources begin to realize that Trump is the only hope we have.

I look at Cruz, and it's like watching someone age and wither before our very eyes in a sci-fi movie. How did he go so quickly from small donation renegade to deep pocket donors to dirty trick politics? My point? It isn't just Cruz. DC corrupts almost everyone who spends any time there. We need a President who has burned those bridges to the DC power structure and deep pocket donors, or nothing changes.

Me and mine will never support Trump. Keep supporting him and you are guaranteeing a loss come November.

Bowing to the inevitable while still getting invited to the wine and cheese parties?

Very well said.

It takes more than a president to shrink the size and power of the federal government. When both parties, in both houses of congress, depend on handouts and government programs to get reelected the chances of having a smaller, less powerful government is slim to none.

It's no coincidence that the size of the federal government has grown continuously since the adoption of the 17th amendment.

You may be right.... I hope you are right. I get so upset when so many conservatives are bashing and actually insulting other conservatives. We will never win over the Democrats if this continues.

Yes, it is easy to make a very simple case against Trump.

HE IS NOT CONSERVATIVE.

Haven’t we learned ( dole, bush, McCain, Romney ) that nominating non conservatives does not end well??
