".....The only way to clear the mess in Washington, Trump argued, is to elect a president who is so rich he doesn't need anybody's money. "I think self-funding is a big thing," Trump said. "I'm the only one that's self-funding, Democrat or Republican. everyone else is taking from -- I call them the bloodsuckers." Source

"...Trump repeatedly said he would alienate his wealthy friends if he actually becomes president and cleans up government. But it's worth it, he said. "They come to me and they say, 'We would like you to use such and such a company -- he's helped your friends,'" Trump said. "I don't care if he's helped my friends. I have no friends as far as I'm concerned.

You know who my friends are? You're my friends." Trump won big applause with that line....." Source

Most of Donald Trump's Political Money Went To Democrats - Until 5 Years Ago: "Well, if I ever ran for office, I'd do better as a Democrat than as a Republican," Donald Trump told Playboy in 1990. "And that's not because I'd be more liberal, because I'm conservative.

But the working guy would elect me. He likes me."

"....[Trump's] $100,000 gift from Trump to the Boehner-allied super PAC was twice as big as his next-biggest contributions. [Trump's] given $50,000 .. to Karl Rove's American Crossroads (2010) [and $50,000 to] the pro-Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) Kentuckians for Strong Leadership (2013)... Open Secrets

And then Trump gave McConnell's PAC another $10,000 in Nov 2014. Donald Trump: Federal Contributions to Republican Candidates and PACs, 1989 - present

April 2011: Trump: I'm worth whatever I feel [deposition during lawsuit that Trump brought]

".. Trump: My net worth fluctuates, and it goes up and down with the markets and with attitudes and with feelings, even my own feelings, but I try.

Ceresney: Let me just understand that a little. You said your net worth goes up and down based upon your own feelings?

Trump: Yes, even my own feelings, as to where the world is, where the world is going, and that can change rapidly from day to day ...

Ceresney: When you publicly state a net worth number, what do you base that number on?

Trump: I would say it's my general attitude at the time that the question may be asked. And as I say, it varies.

Trump ["Art of the Deal"]: The final key to the way I promote is bravado. I play to people's fantasies. People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That's why a little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular.

I call it truthful hyperbole. It's an innocent form of exaggeration - and a very effective form of promotion. Source

They don’t care. You can’t reason them out of supporting a candidate that they didn’t reason themselves into supporting.

Remember That One Time Donald Trump Owned an Airline?

"...Timing is everything in business, and unfortunately for Trump he entered the airline game at the wrong time. The US entered an economic recession in the late '80's leading many corporations to cut back on business travel. In addition, tensions in the Middle East leading up to the first Gulf war caused oil prices to spike. This 1-2 punch was devastating for the airline industry and led to the demise of a number of airlines including Eastern and Pan Am. Given these circumstances, the Trump Shuttle lost money, and with Trump continuing to accumulate debt in his other ventures it was becoming increasingly difficult to pay back the loans taken to purchase the airline.

In an effort to drum up business, Trump guaranteed that all Shuttle flights would arrive within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time or passengers would be compensated. This was a foolish proposition for sure, as the northeast corridor airports were - and still are - very congested with delays being commonplace. The guarantee didn’t last long, and soon after the Trump Shuttle began to reduce its schedule in the face of mounting losses. In September of 1990 Trump defaulted on his loan and control of the airline went back to the banks led by Citibank...."

Wouldn’t it be better if he were honest and said he didn’t have any Muslim friends? Really, what does it matter? Is there some expectation that a man like him have Muslim friends? Yet a phony answer is offered instead.

He’s friends with Mike Tyson. So that’s one. Of course, it’s possible Trump may not know Tyson is Muslim since he’s not named Mohammed or Abdullah or Ali.

I am a very unsociable person-— and even I have a few Muslim friends... I can pretty much guarantee Trump could list 20 Muslim people he knows, if he wanted too...

Being unable to name twenty Muslim friends is not likely to be seen as a liability IMO.

Their names are Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed, Muhammed and Muhammed. More questions?

I have about a dozen Muslim friends/associates and I wouldn’t name any of them on a national stage either.

If there are any muslims who are friends with Trump I doubt they’d be happy with him naming them.

Why would Mr. Trump provide the names of Moslem associates to a newspaper?

THAT WOULD BE STUPID!

1. It doesn’t impress you can fund your own campaign. In this country having billions should not instantly qualify one automatically for elected office

2. Its clear trump is a conman in it for power not principle. His only core principle is making money. He’s like george soros in that

I fear if elected trump will revert back to being a lefty so fast his supporters on the right will need years of therapy to deal with the betrayal.

I think this is in the context of selling apartments and condos to Arabs...

I guess he has sold at least 20 within the last year ...so would count them as friends.

It's not like he has a few muslim neighbors on the block...as its a bit above street level in the Trump Tower penthouse.

This is the great thing about Trump .

He says things like he will the hispanic vote. Trump doesn’t care. The problem is, idiots like Rand Paul & Jeb Bush actually believe they need to win the hispanic vote. Trump just throws bags of crap at these idiot journalists on certain issues.

If Trump has Muslim friends they might be in danger.

Is Mike Tyson, Trump’s friend btw. A lot of black Muslims see their identity amongst black issues, not bringing in half a billion arabs.

“I have at least 20 Muslim friends’, says Donald Trump, but can’t name them”

Ted Cruz should make this part of his stump speech. He can say “I don’t have any friends”. Nobody would challenge that.

This should be easy for Trump. Just name the Muslims he said told him they support his ban on Muslim’s entering the country.
