Idiot. Most of the rooms are shielded rooms for security reasons.

Actually, this is not a bad way to secure an unclassified WiFi network. By putting the WiFi inside a faraday cage he could get good reception inside the building with little leakage outside. Of course this would only work well for a commercial network that his daughters use for schoolwork and that kind of stuff.

Insul-Fab of Texas sells 80db metalized film with plastic lamination on one side for strength. You wallpaper with it or put it behind your drywall to metal studs with each edge overlapping on the conductive side. Use RF attenuating vents on the air ducts and use glass laminated with silver plated, stainless steel, carbon black, from Don-Tech. A metal door with rfi gasketing around the jam seal and you have an 80db shielded room as long as you use an isolation transformer.

You are assuming the rooms are shielded.
Are they? I kinda of doubt it as the security is so lax for everything else.
