Auto giant Ford is planning a new assembly plant south of the U.S. border, the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday, and will sharply increase factory output from Mexico just months after signing a labor deal.
Citing people familiar with the matter, The Journal reported that Ford will add half a million units of annual capacity from Mexico starting in 2018, which is double the amount it built in 2015. The new assembly complex will be based in An Luis Potosi, and Ford will expand an existing facility near Mexico City, the publication added.

Best one was Trump said Pfizer was moving to Europe and some guy in audience yelled “No more Viagrs.”
Trumps laughed but blushed a bit!

Sadly, if you want to buy a new American-built car, with a majority of American-Made parts, you have to go to a HONDA DEALER....

Yep, we got an 09 Accord coupe and the only part made in Japan was the engine, a V6. Made in America with non union labor.

My last Ford was always in the shop for repairs. I’d never buy another one no matter where it’s made.

Cool. I'm a free-marketeer. Every dollar I save is a dollar earned. Used to buy “Made in America” exclusively. Never again. Companies and the Unions took advantage of the dopes like me who thought that was the patriotic thing to do. At least with the Communist Chinese, they admit they're Socialists, proudly profess it, unlike us who toy around the edges with the idea and are actually headed there, even beyond them (we passed up France). All I ask now is for the best product made at the least price tendered, period. Then I win, they (take your pick of who) lose.

"Sadly, if you want to buy a new American-built car, with a majority of American-Made parts, you have to go to a HONDA DEALER...." TRUE! My Honda van is made in the U.S. with mostly U.S. made parts. On my third Honda with NO problems.
My Ford van had a complete Mexican drive train. The timing cover leaked from the factory, the cylinder head gasket blew, and the tranny lunched itself all in just 22,000 miles.

This pisses off Trump too. He harps on it in every rally and has done so since June. No other candidate has brought up companies leaving the US. In fact last night Trump brought up Pfizer leaving.

That’s an “In YOUR face” to Trump. Not real swift on Ford’s part, IMHO. And prives they give less than a damn about America or Americans, except to con us into buying their Mexican crap.
I’ve owned 3 Tauruses, 4 Explorers and am now driving an Edge, while my wife drives a Fusion. No more Fords for us. I think my next one may be a Honda. I understand they’re amazingly trouble free, and unlike Fords, they’re made here in the States.
